Sworn translation and an apostille are two different things.
Most confusion about document acceptance comes from conflating the two. Here's exactly how each one works.
MAEC appointment
Your translator is appointed by Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EU and Cooperation (MAEC) to produce translations with legal force.
Signed & stamped
The finished translation carries the translator's signature and seal — or an eIDAS-signed electronic equivalent — which is what makes it jurada.
Apostille (separate, optional)
An apostille legalises the original document, not the translation. You only need one if the receiving authority asks for it.
What happens to your document
- Your document is assigned to a named specialism, not a shared queue.

- An NDA is available on request, at no extra cost.
- You can ask us to delete your document once the job is complete.
