Who we are

Think Translate ("we," "us," "our") is a translation and interpreting practice based at C. de la Estrella Naos, 10, Arganzuela, 28045 Madrid, Spain. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. What data we collect

We collect the personal data you give us directly, and nothing more:

• Name — to address you correctly and identify your order or enquiry.
• Email address — to send quotes, order confirmations and respond to enquiries.
• Phone number — only if you provide it, to call you about an order or booking.
• Postal address — collected when you order a stamped hard-copy delivery or when it's otherwise needed to fulfil an order (for example, an interpreting appointment location).
• Company name and VAT/NIF number — only if you provide them, to issue a business invoice.
• The content of the documents you send us — processed solely to complete the translation or interpreting service you’ve ordered.
• Technical and usage data via Google Analytics 4 — only if you accept analytics cookies; see the Cookie Policy for full detail.

Why we process your data (legal basis)

We do not collect payment card data. Checkout is designed so that no card number, expiry date or security code is ever entered into or stored on this site.

• To perform a contract with you — processing your quote request, order, and delivering the translation or interpreting service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To comply with a legal obligation — for example, invoicing requirements under Spanish tax law (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
• With your consent — for analytics cookies and, if you opt in, occasional marketing emails; you can withdraw this consent at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
• Legitimate interest — responding to enquiries you initiate and keeping records to resolve any dispute about an order (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), balanced against your rights.

How long we keep your data

We keep order and enquiry data for as long as needed to deliver the service and meet Spanish tax and accounting retention requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Document content sent for translation is deleted on request once a job is complete, and in any case is not retained for longer than is needed to answer questions about that specific job.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with any other third party for their own marketing purposes.

• Couriers — postal address only, and only when you order physical delivery.
• Google (Google Analytics 4) — anonymised or pseudonymised usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies. Google may process this data outside the EU/EEA under the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and Spain's Ley Orgánica 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), you can ask us to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate data.
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Port your data to another provider in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
